Master instructor Ozgen will teach two
styles of authentic Turkish dance:
traditional Romany (Gypsy) and fiery
Turkish Oryantal. Learn technique,
gestures, movement vocabulary and
combinations. Contrasting the two styles
and their similar yet unique steps, you will
learn Turkish dance history and how
Romany culture affected and influenced
contemporary Turkish Oryantal belly
dance.

Turkish-born dancer Ozgen has performed, taught, and
choreographed Turkish Oryantal and Romany dance for
the last 15 years. His reputation as a riveting soloist,
theatrical director and master instructor has taken him
across the world.
In Istanbul, he joined the cast of the large-scale stage
production, “Night of the Sultans,” which combined
contemporary styles, ballet & oriental dance. Ozgen
taught for several years at the Tolgahan Dance School in
Istanbul & is now based in London, teaching and
performing Turkish Oriental & Romany (Gypsy) dance
internationally.
